A Short Bio
Robert Starr has always wanted to be a professional writer—right from the first time he grabbed a pen and pad to walk in the footsteps of Harriet The Spy, read about and wanted Curious George as a pet, and secretly pretended he was one of The Hardy Boys.
He attended college in Windsor, On, in the early 1980s to study journalism but left to finish that education at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he graduated Class of 1986.
Starr worked on area papers for several years as a freelance writer and on staff as a writer/reporter where he learned he had a flair for text editing and being a business writer as well. Still, the fiction bug haunted him and he finished his first novel,The Apple Lady, in 2004. Creek Water was published in 2006 and his latest collection,
Sophistry by Degrees, was released in 2008 to some international attention.
He started working as a content writer on the Internet several years ago and has since written thousands of blogs and articles for hundreds of satisfied clients.
