Rob Starr - Portfolio
Fiction
The Apple Lady , Robert Starr’s first novel, took over four years to complete. It tells the story of the psychological trauma inflicted on the Halloway family, and traces the roots of their torture to the family matriarch. The book was published in 2004 by Stonegarden.net publishing and was subsequently picked up by Amazon.com in the United States, gained exposure internationally, and at Chapters/Indigo in Canada.
Starr’s second effort was a collection of short stories titled Creek Water. Picked up again by Stonegarden in 2006, the book consists of 20 shorts that straddle the elusive border between mainstream, literary, and horror. Several of the works were voted the year’s best by the readers and editorial staff of Aphelion.
Starr's second collection is available now at Amazon.com

"Rob is a pleasure to work with. His fast, efficient editing has often helped make the difference between meeting a deadline, and rescheduling one!"
Kristofer J. Stamp- owner, Stonegarden.net publishing.
I really enjoyed reading my story through your editorial service. It's not like you added the frosting to an already baked cake. You did not change the ingredients, but mixed them in a different order and baked it a few degrees less and a few minute more than me. The frosting we've spread together and the final product has me dreaming. Thanks and thanks and thanks. I cannot say it enough.
Fabien Roy, author of Buckyballs.
Rob Starr is the editor my first novel, Under the Fifth Sun (StoneGarden Publishing, March 25, 2008). I am now writing my second, and did not hesitate to engage him again. Rob has a keen eye not only for precision and style but also possesses a tremendous sense for flow, clarity, and continuity. He is highly capable and adaptable to any form of written communication, and works with great efficiency. Rob has never failed to impress me with each round of editing. I have never been disappointed with the quality of his work and his professionalism, and neither will you!
